Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use efc.nz and its pages (“the website”). The website belongs to Everest Financial Consultants, trading as EFC Accountants (“EFC”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

The website gives general information about accounting, tax, payroll and business topics. It does not take account of your facts and is not accounting, tax, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice.

Rules and dates can change. Check the current position with us or another qualified adviser before you act or decide not to act.

Sending a form, asking a question or requesting a call does not make you a client and does not require us to accept work. If we agree to provide a service, a proposal, engagement letter or other written agreement will set the scope, fees and duties. That agreement will take priority if it conflicts with these website terms.

You must not:

• break a law or another person’s rights through the website;
• send false, harmful, abusive or misleading material;
• try to enter accounts, systems or data without authority;
• interfere with the website, its security checks or other users; or
• copy, scan or use the website in a way that places an unfair load on it.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you send and for keeping any account details and passwords safe.

The client portal is not yet open to the public. When we make it available, access will be personal to each approved user. We may suspend access to protect a client, comply with law, respond to misuse or carry out maintenance. A client engagement agreement may add terms for portal use and document exchange.

We or our licensors own the website, its design, text, graphics and other content unless we say otherwise. You may view or print pages for your own lawful use. You must not copy, publish, sell, change or present our content as your own without our written permission.

The website may link to Inland Revenue and other outside sites or use services run by other providers. We do not control their content, security, terms or availability. A link does not mean we approve every part of the linked site. Use outside sites under their own terms.

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always work, stay free from errors or contain current information. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it without notice.

To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying only on general website content, by an outside site or service, or by a website fault beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy that New Zealand law says cannot be limited. Any responsibility for professional services will sit under the agreement for those services.

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information. Cloudflare Turnstile may also check form use to help stop spam and misuse.

We may update these terms by posting a new version here. New Zealand law applies to these terms and your use of the website. New Zealand courts will have non-exclusive authority to hear disputes about them.
